Biomutant brightens the release window

As you may have seen, it was previously reported that the upcoming video game Biomutant of THQ Nordic would be released before the end of the publisher’s financial year. If true, it would mean that the long-threatened title would fall on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC before March 31 this year. However, this does not appear to be the case, as an update of the original report via an explanation from the publisher rather indicated that it would appear during the next financial year, which begins in April.

This all comes back to an annual report from last year on the title being released this financial year, as well as a recent interview from GamesIndustry.biz with Klemens Kreuzer, CEO of THQ Nordic. Kreuzer apparently initially claimed this Biomutant will release this term, which apparently is not the case.

If you are unfamiliar with the video game, it is described as an open-world post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG, featuring a unique combat system with a martial art that allows you to shoot a melee and mixing a mutation ability. ‘ It was first announced in 2017 with several trailers and looks since. Although it would initially appear in 2018, it has been delayed several times already.

Biomutant will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC at some point in 2021. You can see all our previous coverage of the upcoming video game here.
