The Department of Public Health reports twelve deaths and 600 new COVID-19 cases as of Friday and Saturday.
There were nine individuals older than 70 and three were between 50-69 years old, ten had underlying medical conditions, and four deaths were accompanied by outbreaks in community facilities.
Four of the individuals lived in Santa Barbara, three in Santa Maria, two in Orcutt, one in Goleta, one in the uninformed area of Goleta and one in Lompoc.
There are now 197 deaths in Santa Barbara County due to COVID-19.
There are currently 2,176 active cases in the country. Of the 180 were admitted to the hospital, including 57 in the intensive care unit.
Both Santa Barbara County and the greater Southern California region have 0% ICU availability.
