Moose earns Impact World title by saying ‘I quit’ at Genesis

In a turn, Moose got a future chance at Impact world champion Rich Swann, though he lost to Willie Mack in an “I Quit” match during Genesis on Impact Plus on Saturday.

In the show’s main event, Moose Mack slammed behind several elbows, meaning he could not say “I quit.” Moose was “Pillmanizing” Mack’s neck when Swann walked out and asked him to stop. Moose initially refused, which led to Swann pleading with him and offering him a title shot he had wanted for some time. Moose said the magic words and Mack won accordingly.

Swann will compete in a six-man etiquette during next Saturday’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view, along with the Motor City machine guns against AEW world champion Kenny Omega and Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers.

At the Genesis show, the first Super X-Cup winner since 2017 was crowned when Ace Austin defeated Blake Christian in the final round of the one-eight-man tournament.
