Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition went digital on November 10 for Xbox Series X and November 12 on PS5. The physical version was released on December 1st. Players also have the option to customize the difficulty with Legendary Dark Knight mode. This new horde mode gives even the toughest devil hunter a chance for their money. Players can also turn on the Turbo mode, which lets the entire game play at 1.2x speed, increasing the on-screen frenzy.

Of course, alongside the new content, there are several visual and technical improvements for PS5 and Xbox Series X. DMC5SE provides beam detection support on the new consoles (except in Series S) and has significantly increased the frame rates. There is also the huge improvement that both consoles have made to the charging times via their SSDs. Read our title review to see how well this new version performs.

In February last year, almost one year after the launch, Devil can cry 5 was, according to Capcom, already the best-selling game in the series’ history. This information was released via Capcom’s official website where the total number of copies of Devil can cry 5 sold was 3.1 million at the time. It just surpasses that of Devil Can Cry 4, which currently amounts to 3.0 million.
