Disturbing video shows officer being smashed against the door by a mob storming the Capitol

During the confrontation, captured on video by investigation tube Status Coup, one officer was pinned between a door and the mass of people.

At least one individual tried to snatch the officer’s mask away while he was trapped while screaming in anguish.

The video passed to the rioters, who roared, “Heave, ho! Heave, ho!” while pressing further into the entrance gate.

The officer returns the frame of the video in the same position, now maskless and bloodied, and screams for help. A voice can be heard in the midst of the struggle and shout, “Leave him back, let him out!”

The officer was finally able to get out of the door. He apparently answered in the affirmative when asked if he was right. The condition of the officer is not known.

CNN spoke to the individual who shot the video, Jon Farina, who noted that the clash between police and rioters was constant.

“They were not spoken to,” Farina said of the rioters. “They would get in there no matter what was in their way.”

“Nothing really bothered them,” Farina said. “They just turned on and off. They would say, ‘We need fresh patriots.’ ”

Farina said police eventually repulsed rioters from the scene.

Five people were killed during a storm on the Capitol on Wednesday, including Brian Sicknick, Capitol police officer.
