But to create such a new piece of technology, Cadillac had to look beyond the automotive industry. The company announced on Thursday that it was working with Territory Studio and Rightpoint to “help propose the user interface”, according to a press release.
Territory Studio will focus more on narrative design, creating the use and feel of the UI of the show. “Our deep expertise in 2D and 3D real-time graphics provides seamless access to all technologies on board in safe and precise ways,” said Marti Romances, co-founder of Territory Studios, in a statement: “changing the experience in the car as connectivity becomes a central part of the experience. β
On the other hand, Rightpoint will focus more on the design and functionality of the UI. βIt started with a simple question: why can things not work better,β asked Rightpoint executive creative director Gabriel Bridger. “With it as our mantra, we have created an experience that feels intuitive as well as completely fresh at the same time.”
The Lyriq will only arrive in retailers in 2023, but you can check out the Bonkers infotainment exhibit on January 12 at CES 2021.
