James kicked off The Late Late Show by addressing the chaos in a somber opening monologue while giving his opinion on the matter.

The actor described the shocking events as a “crazy, sad day, a day that will be a dark day in the long history of America.”
James also highlighted an important aspect of the riots in the Capitol building, adding that if these Trump supporters had supported the Black Lives Matter movement, they would have been shot dead.
