JoJo Siwa condemns Nickelodeon games for ‘gross’ and ‘inappropriate’ content

YouTube personality JoJo Siwa condemned Nickelodeon for using her parable to promote board games for children with inappropriate and sexual content.

Nickelodeon has released a JoJo Siwa board game that recently came under fire due to its adult content. The YouTube star condemns the company for using her parable to promote an ‘inappropriate’ children’s game.

“This weekend was brought to my attention by my fans and fans on TikTok that my name and image were used to promote this board game that contains really inappropriate content,” Siwa told her fans on Instagram. “Now when companies make these games, they don’t perform all aspects of me, so I had no idea what kind of questions were on these playing cards.”

The board game with the Nickelodeon name is called JoJo’s juice, and is a trivia game that features cards from four different categories: Truth or Dare, 2 Truths and a Lie, who knows Jojo better? and Jojo never has !. It is recommended for children aged six years and older, but some of the questions indicated on the cards are called for inappropriate, adult and sexual content. Some of the questions that came under scrutiny include: Have you ever walked into someone naked or someone walked into you? Who do you most want to meet in this room? Have you been arrested yet?

“When I first saw it, I was really, really upset about how rough these questions were, which is why I immediately brought it to Nickelodeon’s attention,” Siwa said in her Instagram video. “And since then, they’ve been working to stop this game being made and also taken off the shelves wherever it’s sold.”

JoJo Siwa thanks her fans for bringing the game to her attention and ensures that she does everything in her power to remove the game from the stores. “I hope you all know that I would never have approved or agreed to be associated with this game if I had seen these cards before they started selling them,” she told her Instagram viewers. “I love you all very much. Thank you for bringing this to my attention so I could stop it and fix it right away.”

‘We respect and appreciate the relationship that JoJo Siwa has with her fans, and accept the concern about the game JoJo’s juice very seriously, “Nickelodeon and Spin Master Games, the manufacturers behind JoJo’s juice, said in a joint statement to USA Today. “This game is no longer being manufactured and we have requested that retailers remove any remaining products from their shelves.”

JoJo Siwa is a dancer, singer and YouTube personality. She signed a contract with Nickelodeon in 2017 and plays in the 2018 series, The Jojo and BowBow Show Show. JoJo has also appeared in other children’s shows, including Bizaardvark and The Thundermans and on two seasons of In mammas.
