It’s much better.
Kia
It feels like we heard years ago about Kia ushering in a new brand logo, but on Wednesday it finally happened. Kia has unveiled the new logo it will affix to new vehicles, saying on January 15 that we will learn more about the ‘new branding goal and strategy’. I think this logo exchange had to do with the Stinger’s introduction, personal, but better late than never.
See, Kia has still not completely rejected its image of making a bargain car, and its current logo and brand still remain attached to really dull cars from decades ago. Today, the Korean company builds incredible cars in its entire range and they are finally getting the attention they deserve for marketing and branding. This is at least the hope of the company.
The blocky font with a simple oval is in favor of a flowing font to spell out the name ‘Kia’. The brand said the new logo contained ‘symmetry,’ rhythm ‘and’ rising ‘. It’s also supposed to look more like a handwritten stamp of approval from the company, while building confidence. Honestly, everything is a major improvement of the outgoing logo.
But wait, there’s more. The new logo also has a new tagline that you will soon see splashing on Kia ads: “Motion that inspires.” Kia said that this big rebranding moment also comes because it plans to carry out numerous new electric motors in the coming years. We should know more about these cars and the new brand strategy in just over a week. Meanwhile, enjoy the unveiling of the logo, along with a fireworks display that shoots most unmanned aircraft simultaneously with fireworks, according to Kia.
