“Do I want to get you a shovel?”
2021 is only a few days old, but we have an early contender for the most embarrassing video of the year.
A Canadian pirate caught on the veranda caught in the act did not get very far in his getaway vehicle after stranding himself on a pile of snow – right in front of his victims.
The creepy video shows the moment the homeowner opens his front door in Mississauga, Ontario, to catch the man right by stealing a package.

“It’s done. You’m done,” the homeowner shouted after him as he jumped onto the driveway to his waiting car, which he had happily parked on the premises.
A sheepish “So sorry!” he jumps into the driver’s seat, throws the car backwards and makes a hasty retreat – or so he wanted.
Sweet justice …

The Toyota Yaris backs behind a bank of snow cleared from the driveway … and there it stays.
The pirate turns and turns the small front-wheel drive, but tries as he pleases, the getaway wagon goes nowhere.
“Cops are coming,” the homeowner shouted afterward. “Call the police quickly now,” he tells his wife.

But she does not have to be fast at all.
The prospective pirate jumps out of the car and repeatedly tries to dig the car free, while the family sees his pathetic attempts to flee the scene continue.
As he runs to and from the front wheels and the steering wheel, the homeowner even begins to feel sorry for the unfortunate thief, even offering him a shovel with jokes.
But the wheels just spin fruitlessly, and the engine just spins fruitlessly, according to the full videos.
“It’s front wheel drive … you have to get the wheels on the ground,” the man even advised him and now sounded like he was really sorry.
In the end, his heist is ultimately unsuccessful. The video shows the police finally arriving and dragging him out of the car – which never made it off shore.
