According to the Android police, the US owners of the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S20 series phones are still receiving information about the Android 11 update they just received. The update includes One UI 3.0 which makes it the latest version of Samsung’s user interface designed to make elements on a large screen phone accessible to all. With One UI, users no longer have to perform calisthenics with their finger to reach a button in the top corner of a device. This is because Sammy has moved the buttons to the bottom of the screen.
Android 11 has a Bubble notification system that allows users to multitask while chatting. There are also media controls under the quick settings, and notifications with conversations are moved to the top of the screen. Reports on the update available for unlocked units in the states were only seen on December 21st. At that time, some Samsung owners stare at the calendar and do duplicate tasks, and some note that this is the earliest they have ever received an Android update on their Samsung device in the US (which included last year’s Android 10 update with ‘ knocked a few days). The update (with Android 11 and the One UI 3.0 interface) hit the unlocked US Galaxy S20 series, not too long after it started appearing on the Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T carrier models.
