Voters in Georgia stood in long lines on New Year’s Eve, the last day to vote early in the Senate runoff in the Peach state.
Footage from polling stations posted on social media showed long Georgians staying around in buildings that wanted to beat the traffic day traffic amid the coronavirus pandemic before the end of January 5th.

A Cobb County Wife told NBC reporter Priscilla Thompson, she got in line at 6:30 a.m. to vote and waited an hour and a half before going to the polls.

More than 2.8 million Georgia residents have already voted by mail or earlier since Thursday.
According to the Georgia constituency, it is more than a third of all registered voters in the state.
The by-elections will determine which party controls the upper house in the next Congress. Should the Democrats take over the Senate, they will have control over the House, the Senate and the White House as elected president Joe Biden
