Tulsa coach Greg Montgomery said second safety Kendarin Ray is being treated for a “concussion” after being on the bottom of a mound during the scrum.

“The one thing I will say is our program, our guys, we are a team that will stand up for each other and we will fight,” Montgomery said. ‘We’re talking about faith, family, football, and the family is going to take care of the family. We are a team that has struggled all year long. We fought again today. From that point of view, we guys are going to continue to protect each other and get out of there, “he said.

Mississippi State coach Mike Leach said he was not sure what was causing the disappointment.
