News of the first iPad release of the year for 2021 was announced this weekend. This first Apple tablet of the year is an iPad Pro of the 12.9-inch range. It could very well be the first iPad Pro with a mini-LED screen, delivering a very early high point in Apple’s offering of the year.
Information about the first iPad of the year comes from a Digitimes report which also says that Apple is ready to roll with flexible OLED panels for the next iPhone. The next iPhone is unlikely to be flexible – the flexibility offers the possibility that the next iPhone may have some curvature on its sides – or that the next iPhone will use a more flexible screen to make a more cordial overall device possible to make.
ABOVE: You see the otherwise most recent iPad Air. You’ll be forgiven for mistaking it with an iPad Pro, or an iPad … they all look pretty similar now?
The following iPad contains many of the same features offered by the otherwise iPad Pro. It will be aimed at replacing your current laptop – or at least being in a lot of different capacities in your life. This next-generation iPad Pro may be the first of the year with the next A-Series chip to hit Apple mobile devices during the year.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro (early 2021) will likely have a screen that surpasses the rest of the iPad family, and probably also the most recent entries of the iPhone. The iPad Pro is an excellent device with which to launch a new, more impressive display range.
Think of the first time Apple released a device with a 120Hz image refresh rate – it was an iPad. Think of the first device Apple released with a display panel that could use the Apple Pencil – it was an iPad. Now is the time for the Mini-LED goodness.
