Everyone expects this free agency cycle to be a wild ride. We can see more releases than ever and sign even more contracts below market level. That was not the case for Green Bay Packers fighter Aaron Jones, who signed a four-year, $ 48 million deal, including a $ 13 million bonus to play with Aaron Rodgers.
One thing to remember when these transactions flow in is that the contract never looks face value. Taysom Hill on Sunday signed a four-year, $ 140 million contract extension. The internet had a bit of fun with it, but the deal was void and it was a way to manipulate the salary cap. New Orleans will finally save more than $ 7.5 million against the cap in 2021.
The agreement with Taysom Hill reminds me of when I had to create sly incentives to get Cap transfer. I once gave Doug Pederson a $ 20 million bonus when he threw seven TDs in our last game. All funny money.

Brandt added that the only change in Hill’s contract is that New Orleans turns most of the money Hill already earns into a bonus. The rogue years are for proration.
