2 arrested after child allegedly left unattended in North Stonington car park – NBC Connecticut

Connecticut police have arrested two people accused of leaving a child unattended in a vehicle in a parking lot while shopping at an adult store in North Stonington on Saturday night.

Troopers said they received a call around 8pm about a 4-year-old child left alone in a vehicle parked in the Amazing Intimate Essentials Adult Store on Norwich Westerly Road in North Stonington.

When state police arrived, they said a 4-year-old boy was found alone in a vehicle with no parents or guardians in sight.

Troopers said they entered the store and found the child’s parent, identified as a 25-year-old woman from New York, and her partner, who was identified as a 28-year-old woman from New York.

According to investigators, the women were shopping in the store for about 15 minutes as the child was left alone in the car.

The women are each facing charges of leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle, and the parent’s child is facing an additional charge of risking injury to a minor, troops said. said.

The Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.
